Showdown in Little Tokyo

err yea, so i was at home in bed last night and i flip the telly over to SABC 1 and ok so its mad japanese samurai night on tv. First off "The Last Samurai", I wont go there as I detest that movie
and then after that, eish the joy its "Showdown in little Tokyo", it's Dolph Lundgren running around in a japanese ceremonial outfit with an assault rifle and poor Brandon Lee, grinning through the entire movie like an idiot doing a few high kicks and mad punches, poor old Bruce is probably rolling around in his grave groaning at the sight of his son co-starring in this err action movie.

The plot of this movie revolves around ol' Dolph who was raised in japan and who witnessed his folks getting pwned by insane japanese yakuza bad guy, with samurai sword in hand and now years later Dolph's a cop working the "little tokyo" beat and along comes grinning straight up Brandon Lee, Dolph's new partner, because well you know Dolph keeps losing partners due to his err lethal machismo and ppl getting killed around him and what not i guess. So anyway shock and horror the dude that killed ol' DL's folks many years ago in japan just happens to be the new Yakuza boss who's trying to smuggle and sell some new Japanese Crystal meth into the states and its Dolph and Brandon's job to stop him, so anyway, horribly cheesy plot, the usual ass kicking of just about everyone who looks slightly Asian, a whole lot of japanese guys spending most of the time naked in their funky tattooed birthday suits and of course the dramatic scene of DL powering up when he gets "angry" for the final showdown scene (nice moves there Dolph).
Then of course he gets to around in a pretend Samurai outfit, poor Miyamoto Mushashi is probably also rolling around in his grave groaning in horror.

Below are some goofs, I found on wikipedia while i was googling some info about this movie:
  • When Dolph supposedly jumps over the car in the opening shoot-out, you can very clearly see the springboard used to propel him into the air.
  • The Yakuza who kills himself in the interrogation room can be seen later in the film when Yoshida is "interrogating" Angel.
  • When Angel walks up to Yoshida to take his shirt off, they're both about 1 meter or so away from the table. When Yoshida turns Angel around, they're both on the table's edge, despite not moving from their spot.
  • During the scene where a Yakuza is about to be crushed by a car compacter, he is obviously replaced by a very cheap-looking dummy. The same happens in the scene where a drugged blond entertainer is beheaded after being stripped and fondled by the Yakuza boss.
  • At one point, Dolph sneaks up on a Yakuza and breaks his neck, but as he is lowering him quietly to the ground, the supposedly dead guy reaches up and grabs Dolph's arm--presumably to keep from falling too hard.
  • In one scene where dolph and brandon are fighting at the restaurant. Brandon is wearing black pants, In another scene he isnt wearing any pants
